Magic Planet




Muscat City Centre Mall (Seeb)

2.5 OR for entrance to the climbing/soft play area. Games and rides start from 300 baisa (electronic card system)

Sat –Weds: 




A large area where kids can run off some steam after shopping. Includes a small structural climbing area with ball pit and slide, plus a large range of arcades and fairground rides for a wide variety of ages.

Qurum City Centre Mall (next to the food court)

This Magic Planet is smaller than the Seeb branch. It includes a structural climbing area with bouncy castle & ball pit, soft play area, and a moderate selection of arcade games and rides.

Muscat Grand Mall (next to the cinema)

1.5 OR for climbing area, other rides start from 300 baisa (electronic card system)

Includes a structural climbing area with a large collection of fairground rides and arcades for a wide range of ages.


Oman Avenues Mall 3OR Everyday 10am-11pm Very large, fantastic structural play facility with a separated area for younger crawlers. Lots of things to do with ball pits, soft play, video games etc. Socks must be worn.  

Kids Rest, Al Khoud




Al Khoud. Coming from Muscat turn off Sultan Qaboos Highway after City Centre and keep going until you see it on your right.

A good selection of toys, similar to the Wave branch, but slightly larger.



Kids Rest, Qurum



Al Qurum Commercial Complex – upstairs (building containing Al Fair).

Smallest of the 3 branches, this play centre has a reasonable selection of toys, including a sand pit and role play/pretend toys and ride-ons.

Magic Games

A large area of arcades, games and rides for a wide age range. Including a mechanical rodeo bull.





3rd floor of Markaz al Bahja Mall
(Al Mouj Street, between The Wave and Sultan Qaboos Highway).

Huge selection of fairground rides and arcades, including a ball pit, bumper cars, water ride, rollercoaster and some gentler baby rides. All individually priced.

Above Almeera Supermarket on Sultan Qaboos Highway (opposite the Grand Mosque).

Also in Al Khuwair in the Oasis Mall.

Large structural climbing area, ball pit, slides, trampoline, a great ball cannon area. Some areas that are more suited to young children also. A few arcades and rides alongside this.

This will now comprise of several separate entertainment areas:

Barr Al Jissah next to the

Shangri-La Hotel - Al Mazaar edutaiment centre is in the building adjacent to the Omani Heritage Village.




There is also an events schedule which will feature regular Family Fun Days, sports & wellness activities and educational workshops.   

Adventure Zone is a large structural climbing area with separate section for younger children. Long sleeves & socks must be worn.

Springbox is an indoor trampoline park with free jumping, basketball, dodgeball, running walls, climbing walls and a ninja course. 

Artbox is a dedicated space for arts and crafts activities. 

Teen Zone has pool tables and air hockey to keep the older kids entertained.  




Al Masa Mall, opposite Bareeq al Shatti.

Climbing area:

Small Climbing area that includes slide, ball pit and trampoline. Also a small selection of young children’s rides.

Fun Zone




Next to Qurum Park, same building as the bowling alley, ice rink, laser quest and cinema.

Climbing area 1 OR for 1 hour, younger soft play area 1 OR for 30mins, plus rides from 300 baisa (token system)



Fri: 3pm-10pm

Medium sized climbing structure including slides, trampolines, ball pit and swings.  A soft play area for younger toddlers (small slides, rockers, small soft climbing equipment). Also a selection of rides and games that are individually priced.

Exciting indoor adventure play area for children, from babies up to 12 years old, and is comprised of a large play area and party room. Socks must be worn.

Yellow Submarine 

Panorama Mall, Bowsher

3 OR per child for 1 hour (Sun-Thurs) for children 0-2 years or 4 OR for unlimited time

4 OR for children 3 years and above for 1 hour (Sun-Thurs) or 6 OR for unlimited time

Babies under 12 months enter free if accompanied by a  paying sibling. 

Every Monday and Wednesday they run a Mom and Tots session from 10-12pm for 3.5 OR per child. This includes tea/coffee and biscuits.

Large indoor play facility with slides and balls. Socks must be worn by children and supervising adults


Activity Time



The Wave Centre building, Al Mouj Road. Between Al Mouj and the Sultan Qaboos Highway.

3.5 OR per child for 4hrs, female adults 1.5OR (socks can also be purchased for 500 baisa)



Thurs: 10am-10pm

Fri: 1.30pm-10pm

Large indoor area with playground equipment, arcade rides, and large selection of toys. This is also a day care for over threes, under 3’s must be supervised. Socks must be worn.

Next to Shatti City Cinema in the Beach Commercial Complex 3 OR for the play area and 
2 OR for a craft project

Sat-Thur: 4pm-10pm   Half indoor play area, half arts and crafts area

Please note:

  • This list is compiled by volunteers and is correct as quoted by the establishments at the time of publishing.
  • Though not listed, there are now several fast food restaurants in Muscat that have play areas and climbing structures, so these may also be worth considering.
  • Cool Kids Zone is advertised on the Shangri La’s website but is only open to in-house guests of the hotel.
  • Most of these play areas also offer private party packages – contact businesses directly for details
